Wheatgrass is thought to be one of the most effective natural health supplements currently available. Humans have used the grain of wheat (Triticum aestivum) for thousands of years, but it’s only relatively recently that we’ve been able to fully understand the exceptional nutritional benefits that it offers.

This amazing rich green powder is crammed full of a wide range of nutrients, including many essential vitamins, minerals, enzymes, phytonutrients and all the essential amino acids.

It provides an extensive range of B vitamins, including Vitamin B1, Vitamin B2, Vitamin B6, B9 (folic acid) and Vitamin B12 as well as plenty of antioxidants such as vitamin C.

It’s known to help with slowing the onset of Free-radical oxidation, healing, blood alkalising, detoxification and also helps energise our bodies.

Free-radical oxidation is what is known to cause damage to cells and this is what is known to contribute to the effects of ageing. Don’t worry though, Wheatgrass is here to help by having such a high antioxidant content which makes it an ideal supportive supplement for a diet intended to protect against the damage caused by everyday living.

The protein content contained with Wheatgrass offers 15 of the 22 amino acids, 8 of which are classed as essential amino acids which the body can not generate for itself. It is also abundant in Magnesium from its chlorophyll content along with other minerals such as Calcium, Copper, Iodine, Manganese and Phosphorus, all of which are lacking in modern day foods especially processed diets.

Production

Our amazing Wheatgrass is harvested at the point when the nutritional content is at its highest and is processed within anything from 1 – 6 hours. It’s moisture content is reduced by air dryers which helps it retain its nutritional content and takes between 20 – 25 minutes to achieve the desired results. Samples are taken hourly for daily quality assurance testing. Once dried, the powder is milled, to particles first of approximately 150 – 200 microns, then 50 microns. The surface area of the powder is greatly increased within this process making it easier for you body to process more of its amazing nutrients.
