Baobab is a fruit found in sub-Saharan Africa. It grows on trees know as the adansonia, also referred to as the upside down tree.


It is thought to have one of the highest antioxidant capacities of any fruit in the world. It is low in sugar and contains almost fifty percent fibre.

It contains 14 essential Vitamins and minerals and is packed with antioxidants, Calcium, iron, Magnesium and potassium, all of which can increase energy, boost the immune system and support a healthy nervous system.

It is said to have six times more vitamin C than an orange, twice as much calcium as a glass of milk and more iron than a steak. It is also high in fibre with high levels of pectin which is thought to help to soak up unwanted cholesterol and fat.
